It’s that time again…it’s Friday!  Another well-deserved weekend is upon us, and I have a few things on my plate this time around: dinner dates, lunch dates, a massage, etc.  But mostly, I can’t wait to check out the latest deals and steals at my fav secret shopping destination…TJ Maxx! If you can find one near you, the TJ Maxx stores that include a “Runway” section are a GEM – much better than a regular TJ’s.  You can get major deals on high-end fashion at these stores.  Recently, I saw this Celine bag at half off the retail price, which I mistakenly did not purchase – SERIOUSLY kicking myself for that now. Happy Monday, my dears!  I just found out that one of my fav soon-to-be nonagenarians turns the big 9-0 on January 17: Betty White.  In celebration of Ms. White’s long and prosperous life, I thought it appropriate to showcase some of my fav attempts at “granny chic.”  Done right, granny chic = tres chic.  Done wrong, a gal can end up looking like a juvenile version of her own dear granny – a major no-no.  The gals below pull off granny chic marvelously well.  Not an easy thing to do, but they tow-the-line like a true professional.  Continue reading »

For a while now, I’ve been on the hunt for FASHIONABLE winter boots.  My classic Hunter wellies have had to suffice for the past two winters, and those poor puppies are not cutting it anymore.  I fancy myself a very resourceful shopper, and have been all over the city (as well as online) looking for the “right” pair of all-weather trackers.
